IKEA Japan consulted AAS Associates International for getting professional advice regarding the construction of high-level racking, suspended ceilings and signage for our first IKEA store located in Funabashi, ChibaPrefecture. Those areas are subject to seismic exposure where IKEA had limited experience; specially that IKEA regards the safety of its customers and staff as a top priority. Dr. Sultan and his team guided us through the Japanese laws, codes and regulations and our own concerns in a meticulous and tireless way.The complicated structural calculations and detailed documentation left behind are invaluable for the future IKEA stores in Japan.

It has been a pleasure collaborating with Dr. Sultan and his AAS team on the design and management of the project of our plant for maintenance, repair and after-service of robots in Toyota city, Aichi prefecture. One of the challenges was the limitation of the available site. But AAS found a very good innovative design solution that satisfies all our expectations for a very practical plant. The collaboration design phase was very important to ensure that we would get the best plant for our needs for the coming 10 years, including all the expected business growth resulting from such new investment. AAS has always listened carefully to our needs and requirements. Even though this new building was only a plant, it should also be representative of our corporate culture and image. AAS already has had a long experience of ABB's standards which helped make the project a success. The overall project was completed on time including all the modifications that we required, and the cost controls done by AAS permitted us to close the project within the budget.
